Panels before they existed
In an industrial design office, the team designed microwaves for Matsushita, Panasonic’s parent company. My work was the control elements. We built them on screen first, as prototypes, to check the operating logic before a physical model existed.
Demonstration
The test tool became the presentation
Those same digital panels then carried the presentation: on a CD-ROM, the decision-makers in Japan could view the operating concepts and work with them, instead of someone flying over. Built to test; used to convince.
